First Aid Appointed Person Training (one day)

This course is ideal for smaller workplaces that present few health and safety risks, where a nominated or appointed person is required to take charge in the event of an illness or accident. 

The course content includes:

• Health and safety (first aid) regulations

• Personal Safety, assessing the incident

• Priorities: DRAB checking and sending for help

• Unconscious casualty

• Resuscitation: adults

• Choking

• Dealing with blood loss and shock

• Burns and scalds

• Fractures

• Heart attack

• Diabetes

• Strokes

• Seizures

• Reporting and recording of incidents as required by the HSE

• Contents of HSE approved first aid kit

Upon successful completion of the course delegates are awarded a certificate which is valid for three years.
