This course is intended for people who are responsible for investigating accidents and incidents in the workplace.
The course will cover relevant financial, moral and legal requirements in relation to Accident Investigation including:

What should be reported to the enforcing authorities (i.e. RIDDOR)

Who should be involved

Understand the concept of 'Root Causes'

What you exactly need to investigate

How far you should go

Techniques to carry out basic interviews

Compile acceptable witness statements
The course will also cover how to reduce the risk of expensive litigation and criminal proceedings and establish the importance of correct methods of investigation.
By the end of the course delegates will have a good understanding of the basic accident investigation process.
Delegates will be able to take the initiative in finding out what went wrong, why, and how to make sure it does not happen again.
